The “01 Series” are chemically cured, two-component epoxy-polyamine topcoats intended for added corrosion protection of metal parts in areas exposed to chemicals such as solvents and hydraulic fluids. This fluid resistant water reducible epoxy primer offers the user a way to increase productivity during application of their coating system to aircraft components. Through a patented technology, we have been able to take a traditional fluid resistant solvent-based epoxy primer and convert it to a water reducible primer. Thus, unlike many traditional water borne primers, this coating has excellent water, chemical and corrosion resistance while maintaining excellent adhesion over a variety of pretreated aluminum and composite substrates. While this coating encompasses all of your physical coatings needs, we maintained our goal of developing a product with low VOC emissions (<340 g/l VOC). Use of this primer prior to top coating is highly recommended for superior results.
