Defthane Interior / Exterior Polyurethane

A high solids oil based polyurethane formulated for hard use areas. Excellent for interior and exterior wood surfaces including floors, doors, furniture cabinets and marine applications above the water line.  Gallons and quarts available in 275 VOC.

How to apply it

Wear rubber gloves while working with any stain or finish product. If staining, note dry time on stain label before finishing.

  1. Sand wood and wipe off dust.
  2. Apply first coat with long, smooth strokes. Let dry for 4-6 hours (450 VOC) or 6-8 hours (275 VOC).
  3. Sand smooth, remove dust.
  4. Apply 2 more thin coats. Let dry for 4-6 hours (450 VOC) or 6-8 hours (275 VOC).
  5. Use paint thinner (mineral spirits) for clean up.
  6. Sand and repeat when first signs of deterioration appear.
